Museum of the Town of Kaštela nourishes pedagogic activities too, which are used in different ways and forms in order to make museum profession and its projects closer to wider audience. Department of Pedagogy of the Museum of the Town of Kaštela is trying to bring museum matter closer to different groups of visitors. Special attention is given to pre-school and school children and students’ population as well as to working with people with special needs. Department of Pedagogy of the Museum of the Town of Kaštela performs independent pedagogical projects and it also participates in Croatian museums’ joint activities in the occasion of marking the International Museum Day (18 May) in organization of the Section for Museum Pedagogy and Cultural Action at the Croatian Museum Society. Planned museum-educational programs, on previously agreed topic, that are in process at the same time in all involved museums in Croatia, are used in order to try to animate children and young-adults population to visit museum and to bring the museum matter to them both in fun and educational way. In the scope of this kind of cultural activities, the Department of Pedagogy of the Museum of the Town of Kaštela organizes different appropriate and topically defined events such as: lectures, leaderships, museum talking-playing events, museum workshops, exhibitions, didactic exhibitions, video projections, visual arts workshops and other similar activities.
